The National Lottery Project Grant…. Application submitted!

Dear readers,

I am thrilled to share with you a significant milestone in my artistic journey: I have officially applied for funding from Arts Council England (ACE). After years of contemplation, encouragement from peers, and a deep-seated belief in my work, I’ve decided to take the leap and pursue this opportunity to elevate my creative pursuits.

For the past five years, I’ve been inundated with well-meaning advice from friends, colleagues, and mentors urging me to explore funding options. “Apply for funding,” they said. “You deserve it,” they insisted. And finally, “This could be much better with funding.” These words echoed in my mind, nudging me towards this decision.

The decision to apply for ACE funding wasn’t made lightly. I understand the competitiveness of the process and the dedication required to craft a compelling application. Yet, I also recognize the potential impact it could have on my artistic practice. This funding could provide the resources needed to bring ambitious projects to life, reach new audiences, and further develop my skills as an artist.

As I navigate the application process, I’m reminded of the journey that has led me here. Every project, exhibition, and collaboration has been a stepping stone towards this moment. I’m filled with gratitude for the support I’ve received from the artistic community and beyond.

While the outcome of my application remains uncertain, the act of applying itself is a victory. It signifies a commitment to my craft, a willingness to embrace challenges, and a belief in the power of art to enrich lives.

I invite you to join me on this journey as I await the outcome of my ACE funding application. Regardless of the result, I’m excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with you.

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

Joshua
