Behind the festival

The Lancashire Festival first began in 2016 under the name The Mad Hatters Herbal Tea Party. While there were plenty of challenges along the way, the event also created countless happy memories. Inspired by this, I, Joshua, made the decision to continue this annual tradition—a family-friendly celebration in the park.

Now, years later, we’re returning to Avenham + Miller Park for our 6th festival. It’s an exciting milestone, especially considering how much the event has grown and developed over the years. My goal is to keep this festival alive for the city, year after year.

In its first year, the festival cost around £2,000 to run for a six-hour event. By the time we relaunched after the pandemic, that figure had risen to nearly £10,000—a significant increase in costs. Despite this, we have always aimed to keep the festival as affordable as possible. In 2018, we introduced a £5 ticket—the highest we’ve ever charged.

For 2025, our goal is to keep tickets under £5 or make entry completely free.

To make this happen, we need to sell 2,500 tickets. Let’s keep this festival alive!
