We’re thrilled to announce that legendary broadcaster John Gillmore – affectionately known to many as Gilly – will be hosting the Main Stage at LancsFest2025!
With a career in radio spanning over 38 years and a reputation as one of Lancashire’s most beloved voices, Gilly brings his signature warmth, energy, and charisma to the heart of the festival. From his early days at Red Rose Radio and The Bay to a record-breaking run at BBC Radio Lancashire, Gilly has been a champion for local people, culture, and communities. His catchphrase “Morning Gilly!” has echoed across the North West for decades, and now we’re bringing that magic to the park!
Gilly has interviewed everyone from Buzz Aldrin to David Hasselhoff, and now he’s bringing his legendary presenting skills to Avenham and Miller Park on Saturday 19th July, helping us celebrate the incredible talent and spirit of grassroots arts and music in Lancashire.
